HIA QLD Kitchen Design of the Year 2025.

We now represent Queensland as a Finalist in the 2026 HIA Australian Kitchen Design.

We are thrilled to share that Kate Anderson Design has once again been recognised for excellence in renovation and design, taking home another prestigious HIA Renovation Award in 2024 on the Sunshine Coast—this time for our Lakehouse Project.

This win holds special significance as it celebrates not only the transformation of an entire residence but also highlights the artistry and precision behind the home’s centrepiece: a luxury modern kitchen designed to elevate both lifestyle and aesthetic.

Our returning clients approached us with a vision to reimagine their lakeside home at Twin Waters into a modern sanctuary that embraces its breathtaking natural surroundings. At the heart of this transformation was the kitchen—a space we meticulously designed to blend high-end functionality with a timeless, modern coastal elegance.

The kitchen’s layout was reconfigured to enhance openness and flow, creating seamless connectivity between cooking, dining, and entertaining zones. Premium materials were carefully curated, including bespoke cabinetry finishes including 2pac and soft oak tones, integrated appliances, and a breathtaking stone island bench detail that immediately draws the eye. Statement lighting and brushed copper fixtures added a subtle touch of luxury, while thoughtful spatial planning ensured every inch serves a purpose. The result? A kitchen that not only supports the demands of everyday living but also becomes a showpiece for family gatherings and entertaining.
